NFS No Limits: Best Racing Game for Mobile Gaming

Game Review: Need For Speed No Limits

If you're a fan of racing games, you might have probably heard of Need for Speed (NFS). The NFS franchise has been around since 1994, and it's one of the most popular racing game series in the world. In this review, we'll be taking a closer look at the mobile version of NFS, specifically NFS No Limits. NFS No Limits is an adrenaline-fueled racing game that offers a thrilling experience for fans of the genre. Developed by Firemonkeys Studios and published by Electronic Arts (EA), the game is available on both Android and iOS platforms.

Gameplay:

The gameplay in NFS No Limits is focused on high-speed races, car customization, and intense police chases. The game offers various races such as Rush Hour, Hunter, Airborne, Time Trial, Nitro Rush, and Blockade. Players start with a basic car and must work their way up through the ranks by winning races and earning in-game currency to upgrade their car. The game features a wide variety of cars, ranging from classic muscle cars, Sports Cars, Hyper Cars, and Street Cars to modern Supercars. Each car can be customized with a variety of paint jobs, decals, and performance upgrades. If you have played any NFS games you're going to love this mobile game by EA.

The game has a unique feature that allows players to use nitrous oxide (NOS) to give their car a temporary speed boost during races. NOS can be earned by performing drifts, drafts, jumps, and other stunts during races. There are various gameplays that you can play such as Campaign, Special Events, Car Series, and Tuner Trials.

Every race rewards either money or special parts which can be installed in the car to upgrade the car. Also, you can find or buy blueprints that are required to build a car and upgrade the car to the next stage. Sometimes, there are special events dedicated to a supercar or special car in which one can complete events and earn a full 4 or 5-star car which can be used later from the car storage.

The gameplay of NFS: No Limits is smooth and engaging. It does not require any skills and any fan of cars can easily navigate the car to win the race. There aren't various controls as you only have basic controls for turning left, right, and drifting., which can be done very easily.

Graphics:

NFS No Limits has some of the best graphics in mobile gaming, with detailed and realistic-looking cars, environments, and dynamic lighting. The game is designed with high-quality graphics and smooth animation, giving players an immersive experience of racing. The high-quality graphics, along with realistic sound effects, add to the overall user experience.

Sound:

The sound in NFS No Limits is also impressive, with realistic engine sounds and tire squeals that make you feel like you're really driving a high-performance car. The game also features a soundtrack of high-energy electronic music that helps to keep you pumped up during races. While racing in the game it feels like racing on the track with realistic engine and car crash sound, and the music also adds to the effect making it a must-playable game. You can also turn off the music and sound effects from the setting menu.

Controls:

The game has simple and intuitive controls, with on-screen buttons for acceleration, braking, and nitrous oxide. The controls are easy to learn but take some practice to master, especially when it comes to drifting around corners and avoiding obstacles. Also, there are two other types of controls which are Tilt and Virtual Steering. These are also quite cool which enhances the gaming experience.

Multiplayer:

NFS No Limits features online multiplayer modes. In online multiplayer, players can race against each other in real time, competing for the top spot on the leaderboards. You can easily navigate to the multiplayer section in the PVP section.

Minimum Mobile Requirement:

NFS No Limits is a high-end game with high-quality graphics, and it requires a powerful mobile device to run smoothly. The minimum mobile requirements for a good gaming experience on Android are Android 4.4 or higher, a 1.2GHz dual-core CPU, 1GB of RAM, and a 512MB graphics card. For iOS devices, the game requires iOS 8.0 or later, and it is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. The installed game in an android device takes a storage of almost 4.5GB which is pretty much storage. Just Imagine the gameplay, there was a time when games like IGI, and AoE took less space than this game and they were PC games.

In-App Purchases:

One of the downsides of NFS No Limits is the heavy emphasis on in-app purchases. While it is possible to earn enough in-game currency to buy cars and upgrades, it can take a lot of time (a lot of time) and effort to do so. Players can also purchase gold using real money, which can be used to buy cars, upgrades, and other items.

However, the game does a good job of balancing the need for in-app purchases with the ability to play the game without spending money. While it may take longer to progress through the game without spending money, it is still possible to enjoy the game without spending a dime.

User Experience:

NFS No Limits offers a thrilling and immersive experience for fans of racing games. The high-quality graphics and realistic sound effects, along with the intuitive controls, add to the overall user experience. The game is challenging, and it takes time and effort to progress through the ranks, making it suitable for both casual and hardcore gamers. The online multiplayer mode adds an extra layer of excitement, allowing players to compete against each other in real time.

One of the standout features of the game is the car customization options. Players can choose from a wide variety of cars, each with its own unique look and feel. The ability to customize the cars with paint jobs, decals, and performance upgrades adds a personal touch to the game and allows players to create their own unique racing machines.

The game's police chase also adds a level of excitement to the gameplay. Players must avoid police cars and roadblocks while trying to complete their objectives, making each race more intense and challenging. The use of NOS and the ability to perform stunts during races adds another layer of complexity to the gameplay, making it more engaging and satisfying.

Drawbacks of NFS No Limits

One of the biggest drawbacks of the game is the heavy reliance on in-app purchases. While it is possible to progress through the game without spending money, it can take a significant amount of time and effort to do so. Some players may find the in-app purchases frustrating, as they can slow down the pace of the game and make it more challenging to progress.

Another issue is the game's size, as it requires a significant amount of storage space on mobile devices. Players with limited storage space may need to delete other apps or files to make room for the game, which can be inconvenient. It is my personal opinion that players should be given the option to switch between the driver's view and the car's view (first-person and third-person) for a better gameplay experience.

Conclusion

In conclusion, NFS No Limits is an excellent racing game that offers a thrilling experience for fans of the genre. The game's high-quality graphics, realistic sound effects, and intuitive controls make it a standout game on mobile devices. The car customization options, police chases, and online multiplayer mode add to the overall user experience, making it more engaging and satisfying. However, the game's heavy reliance on in-app purchases and its size may be a turnoff for some players. Overall, NFS No Limits is an excellent racing game that offers an exciting and immersive experience for fans of the genre. Nevertheless, it remains a must-play game for racing game enthusiasts.
