Star Wars Jedi Survivor's combat system has been expanded.

From all the early gameplay, trailers, and leaks it is learned that Respawn Entertainment is serious about expanding combat options in Jedi Survivor. The original game only had two different stances single lightsaber and double-sided lightsaber, which were not bad. There were also a couple of moves where you could use two lightsabers at once. The combat styles were not really that different from each other in terms of their functions. But it is likely that they have improved this in this sequel. Also, they have expanded the number of stances from two to five. The game starts with Cal having the two stances from the last game and eventually learning dual wielding which looks surprisingly fast but may be weaker. There's also a cross-guard style modeled saber inspired by Kylo Ren's saber and it looks like it is going to be slow but will blow heavy attacks. The game also had the unconventional style of a lightsaber in one hand and a blaster in the other. There were not a lot of long-range options in Fallen order so having an actual Blaster in this sounds exciting. In one of the gameplay demonstrations, the developers showed off a sort of Jedi Deadeye where you target multiple enemies and shoot them all at once. You cannot switch between every stance while flying but you can equip two stances at a time and you can switch between them adding a bit of a layer of strategic equipping to these stances.

Along with the stances, Cal gets some new Force Powers, Respawn’s a bit tight-lipped about these but from the trailers, it is likely a force slam where you can throw an enemy on the ground. Cal also gets a pulling power where you can grab enemies, and use them as human Shields. Cal can manipulate the enemy to keep shooting heavy Blaster to shoot fellow enemies. It also looks like there is a new super meter once you charge it up you can unleash it to an area that slows down all the enemies around you. It is like a supercharged version of the slow Force Power in the first game. It looks like they are expanding quite a bit beyond the first game. All the Force Powers get their own skill tree just like the five stances. There are at least six skill trees compared to the original game. It is safe to say there are a lot more options in combat for Jedi Survivor.

Star Wars Jedi Survivor has new rideable mounts and new movement abilities

A new thing that really grabbed people’s attention was that Jedi Survivor has mounts. Few creatures can be used to run around the environment or glide through the air which can be used to move around the expanded planets. It looks like traveling in the game is going to be a lot faster as compared to earlier versions and these mounts are not just for riding. You can attack while mounted and apparently, they are creatures that you can tame in the wild. It is expected these mounts will be limited on the planets on which you catch them. Cal also has a bunch of new movement abilities like an air dash to land far-away jumps and an ascension cable that seems to work like a grappling hook. It also seems like he can use his lightsaber to slide down certain surfaces like the tapestry move from Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones. Overall, it seems like the movement greatly expanded in Jedi Survivor.

Two Planets Are Confirmed in Star Wars Jedi Survivor: Koboh and Coruscant.

There are a few things you would obviously expect for a sequel and out of which one is bigger planets. The thing that surprised the public is how much bigger the planet is. If you remember the first game, mostly explorable area on the planet was small and self-contained. They were not linear exactly but they were not huge. In Jedi Survivor that is changed now. It is not exactly an open world it is like God of War Ragnarök. A lot of ground to cover and a lot of optional areas to find. There is a planet in which there is a town named Rambler’s Reach and it is filled with people to talk to shops which implies that there are things you can buy and may have side quests too. The original game did not have any of this stuff which makes this one interesting. There are also Jedi Chambers and Shrines where you can use your abilities to solve puzzles and earn rewards and skill points. The only confirmed planets we have seen so far are Koboh and Coruscant the imperial capital. It is expected that Coruscant will be more of a story area than a full Planet like the original game. some of the planets are going to be shorter for sure while others are going to be more open-ended. There probably be one or two planets similar in size to Koboh but that's also just speculation at this point.

A lot of Enemies are there to be killed in Star Wars Jedi Survivor

The first game's enemy lists were fewer as compared to this one. In the first game, Cal was fighting against various Imperials and animals. But in this game, it looks like developers are going to throw all kinds of enemies at you. For instance, there are these guys called Bedlam Raiders, they look tough on their own and they're led by a guy called Ravis who's the only enemy that Respawn Entertainment has actually named for the game. The game features the other enemies from the earlier games such as the separatist droids which you can slice up, it also has the standard ones, the droid commandos, and the Magna guards. It is always fun to fight these guys. The trailers also showed lightsaber-wielding Bounty Hunters which were some of the toughest enemies in the first game and it is expected they will probably be some more of it in this game. The most exciting monster is probably the Rancore scene in the final trailer. A lot of people complained about how you could not slice up Stormtroopers in the original game. The original one lets you chop up droids but not humanoids, now that is a thing of the past and in this game, you can slice everything now.

Star Wars Jedi Survivor has a lot of allies in the game

The first game did not have open environments, mounts, and allies, unlike this one. Jedi Survivor is like God of War Ragnarök in terms of the storyline. Unlike the first game, there will be parts where Cal must bring a friend along to help him out and the characters are not just for show. The most prominent new character seen in the trailers is a mercenary named Bodakuna who has got a blaster in a jetpack and it seems to be an important figure in the story. The one returning character who will tag along with Cal is Marin, the night sister Ally from the first game. These characters probably will not have quite as much going unlike the Boy of War as they cannot fight enemies on their own. It is also known that you cannot directly control them however Cal can command them to perform certain special attacks. it does not look like these characters are permanent party members or anything and it seems like they are only available for certain sequences to progress in the story of the game.

Time is important and therefore traveling is fast in Star Wars Jedi Survivor

Do you remember in the first game when if you want to go for collectible hunting, you had to run back to your ship and travel from one planet to another? Cal had to run all the way back to the place you want to go and it took forever because there was no fast travel. Therefore, it is not a surprise that one of the most highly requested features for the sequel was a fast travel system and Respawn Entertainment listened to the feedback and that is good. Jedi Survivor has fast travel though we do not know exactly how it works yet. they are also improving the game's Hollow map to make it more readable so it will be easy to understand where you have already been and where you haven't been and what part of the map is blocked if it requires an ability, you don't have yet. These are relatively simple changes but it increases the quality and experience of gameplay.

A lot of customization options in Jedi Survivor

This game has a tremendous amount of customization options. In earlier games, they did not have a ton of options for the character like making your own lightsaber and having a lot of ponchos for Cal. Cal is going to have a few more unique options in the game like clothes customization, you can customize his hair and give him different beards. The lightsaber customization is in-depth, now you can swap out colors and parts on bd1 as well. You can even customize the blaster now but it is all just cosmetic unlike in GOW. So, if wanted something like God of War where different costumes actually affect your stats and weapon customization gives you different benefits that's not going to happen.

The story of Star Wars Jedi Survivor is a question mark

Star Wars Jedi Survivor
Star Wars Jedi Survivor

The story of the game is mostly unknown, the events of this game take place five years after the Fallen Order and nine years before the Battle of Yavin. The game is a direct continuation of the first game so the Empire is still relentlessly hunting Callen and apparently has been Cal for five years. He is still looking for ways to rebuild the Jedi Order. Cal now has allies, has a different set of skills, and wields a blaster but the thing that has really gotten people's attention is the mysterious figure in the Bacta tank. From the trailer for one thing is sure he's got one arm which can be seen when he exits the tank. Surprisingly the hooded figure from the trailer also only seems to have one arm so it could be the same guy. This character's from the High Republic Era. The High Republic is the new era that is set 100 years in the past during the height of the old Republic's power. This era is going to play a major part in the story and it is likely that this character is the main villain considering he is possibly the last surviving Jedi from that era. it is possible that he is the actual titular Jedi Survivor.
